Tom is a life-long business entrepreneur and corporate executive. He lives with his wife Nancy on Callawassie Island in Okatie, SC.

Steven D. Spady, D.O., Executive Vice-President

Starting a medical practice in Eastern Kentucky in the early 1980’s, Dr. Spady built it into one of the largest multi-location clinics in the state.  He was also Founder of the Calhoun-Spady School in Ranquitte, Haiti in 1994. Beginning with a single student, it now has over 700 young people attending classes. He currently works as an ER Physician in Washington State and resides in Walla Walla with his wife, Barb.

Pastor Kenneth D. Rogers, M.A., Senior Vice-President

November 14, 1954—March 17, 2023

At the time of his passing after a lengthy illness, “Pastor Ken,” was serving as Director of Youth Ministries for the Southern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in Atlanta, GA.  A highly-popular public speaker, Ken had traveled the world over his 44-year career inspiring young people to greatness. Pastor Rogers is survived by his wife Cheryl who lives in Calhoun, GA.

Cheryl Rogers, RN, BSN, Board Member

A healthcare professional with over 40 years experience, Cheryl recently retired from the 3M Corporation and currently consults in the field of medical utilization.  She lives in Calhoun, GA.

Nancy Lynch, Ed.D., SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT

With over 34 years of experience in the field of education, Dr. Lynch recently retired as Superintendent of a Northern California School District. She and her husband Tom live on Callawassie Island in Okatie, SC.

Marlin Meharry, D.D.S., Board Member

With nearly 40 years experience as a dental surgeon, Dr. Meharry served for many years as a missionary dentist in Kenya and Okinawa, and remains active in providing dental services through a number of mission outreach organizations.  Dr. Meharry lives in Bluffton, SC with his wife Mervet.

Mervet Meharry, M.S., Board Member

As owner of a professional marriage and family therapist practice for many years, Mervet has extensive background in both business and behavioral sciences.  She recently retired after working as a private equity executive in the senior housing industry. Mervet lives in Bluffton, SC with her husband Marlin.

J.C. LYNCH, M.D., BOARD MEMBER

Dr. Lynch is an OB-GYN physician at Mosaic Life Care Medical Center in St. Joseph, MO. He has extensive experience in robotic medicine and has traveled on numerous mission trips. He lives in Agency, MO with his wife Ashley; three beautiful daughters, Addie, Alex and Audra; and son, Hudson.

Carla J. Miller, Board Member

Carla comes to GBTH with an extensive background in the California public education system where she served as the Board/Superintendent Liaison for the Sacramento County Office of Education.  Carla is currently retired and lives in Lincoln, CA with her husband Mike.

Michael L. Miller, Board Member

Mike Miller was an executive business leader for over 40 years, the last 12 as the President/CEO of a large national plastics thermoforming company.  Mike was a dynamic leader focused on strategic growth.   His greatest strengths are his leadership skills and passion for success.  Part of his personal passion is giving back and working with GBTH, like his first experience at the Imara Daima Academy and Children of Hope School, helps him achieve success in this area.  Mike lives in Lincoln, California with his wife Carla.
