Organizational Beginnings and History

In 2008, Tom Lynch was invited by staff at a Colorado christian high school to accompany a group of students who were going on a mission trip to Belize.  While there, Lynch met a young man, Alex, who assisted the group with their school and church building projects.  Lynch and other staff members on the trip had the opportunity to meet Alex’s wife and infant daughter when taking him home one evening after work.  Alex was proud of his family and his home, though to the mission team accompanying him, the abode was extremely primitive.

Upon returning to the States, Lynch resolved to raise funds so that a new house could be built for Alex and his family.  Through the generosity of many of Lynch’s friends and business associates, Alex’s home was completed the following year.

Having a desire to take the idea of “giving back” to a higher level, Lynch contacted life-long friends to join in building an organization that would be committed to improving the lives of needy people.

Currently, Give Back to Humanity mission teams are actively building two schools in Belize, leading out in the development of the Fordina Pandeli Secondary School in Mansa, Zambia and furthering the construction of Imara Daima Christian School in Nairobi, Kenya. As well, the charity supports Children of Hope, a school providing nutritious food and educating young people in Jaipur, India.

We hope you will join us in advancing our goal of helping others with both your financial support and by joining us on an upcoming mission trip. Please contact us at Give Back to Humanity, 20 Towne Drive, Suite 163, Bluffton, SC 29910 or call 760.275.7070 for more information.
